Hardware-wallet fleet review
A full walkthrough of every signing device against your rotation policy — firmware, location, spare custody, and last recovery proof.
Who this is for
Treasury leads, family-office operators, and custody coordinators who maintain more than a handful of hardware wallets and need an independent pair of eyes on rotation discipline.
What you walk away with
A completed device rotation checklist that records each unit’s serial, firmware state, passphrase posture (yes/no only — never the secret), physical location, designated spare, and date of the last recovery drill. The document is yours to file with your internal control pack.
What is included
- Pre-session intake: device count, model mix, and your written rotation policy (or a draft policy we help you articulate)
- Physical inventory against the list you provide
- Firmware age and known-recall flags noted against manufacturer releases available at the review date
- Spare-device custody mapping — who holds what, and where
- Rotation candidates ranked by policy triggers (age, exposure event, staff change, travel use)
- Debrief with the people who actually open the safe
What is excluded
- Seed phrase transcription, photography, or storage by our staff
- Transaction signing or broadcast
- Legal opinions or regulatory filings
- Ongoing remote monitoring software
How the day runs
- Arrival and room rules — we follow your escort, camera, and phone policy.
- Inventory pass — every device on the table is matched to the list.
- Checklist completion — rotation triggers applied device by device.
- Handover — printed and PDF checklist plus a short verbal debrief.
Preparation
Bring your current device register, spare keys or seals for the storage location, and at least one person authorised to confirm passphrase presence without revealing it. If a recovery drill is part of the day, have a disposable test wallet ready — never production seeds on a shared screen.
Constraints
Reviews require a quiet room with table space. We will not proceed if seed material must leave your custody or if photography of seed cards is requested. Maximum practical batch without a second facilitator is roughly twenty devices.
Next step
Request a fleet review with your approximate device count and preferred week. We confirm availability within one business day.
